Issues

These are issues going on around us that strike at the very core of who I am. I pen down my thoughts about these things, both the transient problems and perennial dilemmas relevant to society.

Sometimes I just briefly express it in writing so I can refer to it later on. I find writing down my thoughts and then re-reading them in a few months or years very beneficial – sometimes I cringe and sometimes I laugh when I look back on them – but both ways I learn about myself and realize how much I’ve grown or changed. Writing allows you to view yourself objectively, and presents a basis for self-introspection and self-improvement. You realize your own drawbacks and setbacks and flaws in logical thinking, and see your own strengths and weaknesses.

I think that as a young student going into the 21st Century it’s important to know what’s going on in the world, so I write a lot about what I read in the newspapers/ watch on the 9′ 0 clock news. I used to write these down in journals (I have two fully filled journals just for this past half a year alone), and now that I’m posting my views online, I ask you (as a reader, whoever you are) to consider my views, judge them, and come to a conclusion for yourself whether you agree or disagree – but not to castigate them. It’s a learning journey – people change, ideals change. Sometimes I let my emotions go overboard, especially on sensitive topics close to my heart, but hey – that’s the point, isn’t it?
